Our first blast of proper snow for the winter saw me heading off to Rannoch Moor. Roads were snowy but new winter tyres made everything a doddle although I was a little late arriving. Like many mornings, the light at Rannoch Moor rises to a peak just after dawn and then things go downhill as the weather rolls in again. Another stop at Altnafeadh to check out the layby (to see if I could park without getting stuck) and a glimpse of light teased me into staying…
